The Leadership Brevard program accepts participants via open enrollment, on a first-come, first-served basis. Our goal is to develop a group of individuals to provide diversity of input, thought and perspective to our program, and ultimately a group of individuals positioned to utilize leadership skills for the long-term benefit of the community.
Fostering Leadership Skills
Leadership Brevard was founded to enhance the civic participation of emerging leaders within Brevard County. Annually, a class of fifty candidates representing the private, public and non-profit sectors enrolls for eight, day-long sessions of instruction and dialogue about key county & regional issues, leadership development skills and opportunities for increased civic involvement.
Creating Team Solutions
In addition to day-long sessions, participants work in teams to create solutions to identified community problems. Five or more community action projects are developed each year, many of which continue to impact our community in positive ways.
